Take Pride Community-Wide - Sioux Lookout & Hudson Trash Pick-Up Contest

The Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second annual Pitch In event – “Take Pride Community Wide” – from April 11th to 24th.
The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is happy to partner with the Chamber in this community clean-up initiative. The Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce is organizing the event, and the Municipality’s Public Works department will be collecting the bags of garbage for disposal at Hidden Lake Landfill. This initiative includes a contest for collecting the most bags of garbage in Sioux Lookout and Hudson.
To enter, participants must take a photo of themselves and all of the bags they collect, then post it on the Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce Facebook page along with the total number of bags collected.
First prize is a $500.00 Fresh Market gift card, second prize is a $250.00 Fresh Market gift card.
Garbage bags and PPE can be picked up at the Travel Information Centre.
Participants should also be careful when collecting garbage and always wear gloves and closed-toe shoes. Needles should not be picked up without using a sharps collecting kit and PPE, available from the Northwestern Health Unit.
