Indigenous Courtworker assist Indigenous adults and youth charged with a criminal offense under the Criminal Code of Canada; as well as separating couples; and parents involved in child welfare matters to better understand their rights, options and responsibilities when appearing before the courts.

Qualifications – All Positions:

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Social/Human Services, Indigenous Studies or equivalent training combined with relevant work experience
• Clean/Valid Ontario Drivers License & access to a vehicle
• Ability to speak, read & write an indigenous language an asset
• Must be able to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
• Provide or able to obtain First Aid/CPR, WHMIS & Safe Food Handling Certification
• Participate in training as required.
