Steven Blair Contracting Ltd. requires a part-time (10-15 hrs weekly) Finance Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing all general finance activities are completed accurately and on time. He/she will be tasked with responsibilities such as assisting ownership with financial duties, and the maintenance of all finance records. This individual will oversee the activities of the financial department setting up overseeing the execution of all financial related duties including but not limited to:
• Ensuring that all month-end financial accounting duties and all resulting financial reporting are completed timely and accurately.
• Monitor accounts payables to ensure that purchases and expenditures are within budget and in accordance to policy.
• Record all accounting transactions including business transactions, processing accruals and adjustments, reconciling accounts and preparing monthly accounting statements.
• Supervise and assist the staff in the process of completing payroll activities
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and accurate bank reconciliations.
• Keep knowledgeable of federal, provincial and municipal developments, laws and policies that may affect the financial operations of the organization.
• Respond to employee and government agency inquiries in regards to finance.
• Participate in required meetings; providing input and recommendations regarding expenditures
• Arrange financing in purchases of new vehicles/equipment and setting up of amortization schedules.
• Pension Plan reporting and correctness AIR, CFS and Form 7 annual reports
• Negotiating Benefit renewal and setting up employee deductions.
• Audit prep and representation if required.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
