It consists of an answering machine hub which plugs into your home phone wall jack. You are then able to program this hub to accept known callers…block bothersome callers…and if the incoming call has no caller ID it will ask for their first name, plus push the # key before it allows a ring while announcing the name given. This gives you the option of answering or not…. also eliminates robo calls.
There are also 5 satellite remotes with this unit so you can place handsets throughout your home where no hardwired phone jacks are present. It worked well for me…use a cell phone now….downsizing.
