Some new recruits for Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout.
The Detachment is welcoming three new Constables, all of whom completed their training at the Ontario Provincial Police Academy.
Eric Maecker, Corey Raddatz and Curtis Robb will be on the road with their coach officers this week.
Constable Maecker joins the force from Southern Ontario, where he had a successful career playing junior hockey.
OPP call him a community minded officer with a love for the outdoors and will be actively engaging with the community to continue on-going partnerships.
Raddatz is from Southern Ontario, where he was a Nuclear Security Officer and worked at a Mental Health Hospital.
He was born and raised in Pembroke and is excited to be starting his career as a police officer in Sioux Lookout, where he will be providing innovative and proactive policing services to members of the community.
Robb is originally from the Niagara Region, but moved to Sioux Lookout in 2017 and took on the role of Project Sunset Youth Engagement Coordinator, working with students at Sioux Mountain Public School.
He has a background in social work and describes himself as a fishing enthusiast and avid outdoorsman.
