It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Smith on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 at Luther Home in Winnipeg, MB.
Maureen is predeceased by her husband Brian.
Left to cherish her memory are sons Lee (Patricia), Dwayne (Julia Majer), sister Dale Currie, sisters in law Sharon Neufeld (Martin), Sheila Imrie, Lynn Brickman (Ralph Wragg), seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maureen was born in Winnipeg, MB. She married Brian June 15th, 1962. They lived in Dryden, ON until moving to Winnipeg in 2001.
Maureen was known for her quick wit and sense of humour as well as for her kindness. She was an avid crafter, quilter and sewist and a devoted caregiver.
In keeping with Maureen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
