An investigation by the provincial police in Kenora has removed roughly $100,000 of illegal drugs from the community.
On August 25, a 34-year-old Kenora resident was arrested for a weapons-related offence in the Rabbit Lake area.
Further investigation led to a search warrant being executed in the area.
During the search, a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription opioids, four replica pistols and items used to traffic controlled substances were seized.
As a result, the accused has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking x5
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
The accused is scheduled with a future court date.
