A provincial police investigation in Dryden has resulted in charges.
On Monday the OPP arrested a Dryden resident at a business for possessing stolen goods.
Later that same afternoon a search warrant was executed at a residence on Van Horne Avenue.
During the search suspected cocaine, cash, and evidence of drug trafficking were found.
Through investigation, police were able to locate another suspect connected to the home, while determining the person accused of theft earlier that morning was also involved.
As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old Dryden resident and a 20-year-old Calgary resident are facing the following charges:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
The Calgary resident has also been charged with two failures to comply with release order charges.
The accused from Dryden has been released from custody while the Calgary resident remains in custody.
