The provincial police have made two arrests and seized two vehicles in relation to a weapons incident investigation in Sioux Lookout.
On August 16, officers responded to a weapons-related call on Millar Crescent.
No injuries were reported, and the police initiated an investigation.
“Police have every indication that this was a targeted incident, with no active threat to public safety,” said the OPP in a release.
The investigation remains ongoing, but at this time the OPP says the suspect is not in custody and is currently unidentified.
“Investigators want to assure the public that OPP officers are fully committed to ensuring public safety and will continue to employ all necessary resources to make certain this incident is thoroughly investigated and the community remains safe,” added the OPP in a release.
