Not one, but two public meetings are taking place this week on the proposal for a deep geological nuclear repository.
The first session is being held tonight in Winnipeg by We The Nuclear Free North.
It says the site near Ignace is downstream from Lake of the Woods and the Winnipeg River.
It is being held at the Riverview Community Center starting at 7:00.
The second one is taking place Thursday night and is hosted by Grand Council Treaty #3.
The panel discussion will take place from 6:30 until 9 pm at the Seven Generations Education Institute in Kenora.
The public is invited to both events.
The Nuclear Waste Management Organization says it will make a decision on one of two locations by this fall.
