Ontario Provincial Police say they have arrested two people in connection to an incident at Wilson Trailer Park, which prompted an evacuation of some residents.
On Saturday police began an investigation after they were made aware of an individual potentially in possession of explosives.
This resulted in members of the Emergency Response Team and Explosive Disposal Unit arriving at the trailer park Sunday afternoon, and required nearby residents to evacuate as a precaution.
Several explosive devices as well as suspected cocaine and methamphetamine were located by officers along.
A 23-year-old Dryden woman faces a number of charges including:
- Explosives – Making or possessing for unlawful purposes.
- Uttering Threats – Damage Property
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I substance – Methamphetamines
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I substance – Cocaine
- Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
She is being held in custody prior to a bail hearing set for Monday.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old woman, also from Dryden, has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – cocaine
She has since been release from custody and will appear in court next month.
