A little over two years after a structural collapse at its Sioux Lookout store, officials with Red Apple say it will be reopening its doors in just over a month.
The collapse occurred an hour before the store was set to close for the night on March 3rd, 2022, and even with several staff members and customers still inside, nobody was injured.
Company officials say the restoration of the Front Street location took some time due to various insurance processes, but are thrilled the store will be reopening.
Initially, the company had planned to hold a grand reopening just before Easter but it has since moved it back to April 12th.
The store will include a new layout which includes a Candyworks candy shop, a wide selection of food, as well as fashion, home products and other items.
