A motor vehicle collision west of Dryden Sunday has resulted in cocaine trafficking charges for a Dryden resident.
Ontario Provincial Police and Northwest EMS responded to the collision on Highway 17 around 6 p.m. near McRae Road.
This resulted in the driver, a 21-year-old woman, being taken to hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
An investigation lead to officers discovering an undisclosed amount of cocaine and suspected cannabis resulting in the charges of:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine
- Careless Driving
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused has since been released from custody and will appear in court on April 15th.
