Victor was born September 24, 1957, in Eriksdale, Manitoba to John and Marion (McDougall) Larson, the second oldest of four brothers. In 1966 the Larson family moved to Emo, Ontario. This is where Victor quickly discovered a knack for fixing anything with a motor, often testing his work by seeing how fast it could go! After settling in Northwestern Ontario, Victor spent his career working in the forestry industry, as a well-respected truck driver, heavy-duty mechanic, and chipper foreman for Raleigh Falls Timber.
Victor was a loving, generous, quick witted, proud, hardworking, and protective husband, brother, father, super-grandpa, and friend. Victor was also a skilled outdoorsman who had a great passion for fishing, hunting, and camping. His happiest days were spent catching walleye, moose hunting or being tickled by grandchildren under the awning of his camper at Blue Lake or Aaron Park.
Special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Dryden Regional Health Centre for the care and compassion, wife Wendy for her love and being by Victor’s side, brother Rick and good friend Dave Carruthers for their unwavering support.
As per Victor’s wishes, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, share a memory about Victor with a friend, take that fishing, hunting, or camping trip you have been putting off.
