The high school football has officially started for another season.
Beaver Brae opened training camp Monday morning and Dryden and Fort Frances started their training camps last night.
Bronco head coach Chris Penner says once again, they will be playing the Eagles and Muskies in a newly created AAA division.
“I’m really excited by the new structure because the new structure is based on school size,” said Penner after the first day of training camp.
“It’s not based on how many kids you have coming back and if you have this kid. So we’re playing like-sized schools.”
Dryden and Beaver Brae will be playing an exhibition game on August 31st, and the season begins for the Broncos in Winnipeg on September 7th against Tec Voc, while the Eagles will travel to Fort Frances the next day, on September 8th for a game against the Muskies.
Other schools in the AAA division are Churchill, St. Norbert, St. John’s, and Daniel Mcyntyre Collegiate Institute.
