Armin Herman Jeske
October 14, 1934 – June 17, 2023
In loving memory of Armin Herman Jeske of age 88 years, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in the Dryden Regional Health Centre. Armin was born October 14, 1934 in Dinorwic to Arthur and Martha (Basler) Jeske.
Armin was an avid trapper, fisherman, dancer, and he also had a knack for solving problems. Armin worked for our local mill with 38 years of service. Armin truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures and spending time with family. Everyone knew Armin for his black truck and driving too slow with his music blaring, especially Johnny Cash, his favourite.
Armin is survived by his two daughters Colleen Tyska of Thunder Bay, ON and Laureen Jeske of Langley BC, daughter-in-law Mary Jeske of Dryden, ON, grandchildren Alica Larsen, Alina Berube, Darren Besselt, Liam and Dalton Mercier, twin granddaughters Sheila Felske and Joanne Shaw, eleven great-grandchildren as well as brother Jake (Ruby) Jeske.
He is predeceased by his wife Beatrice Jeske, son Brian Jeske, as well as siblings Ruth Hjorth and Crystal Westburg.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savour Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Montague officiating. Burial will follow at the Wabigoon Cemetery.
