A third hostel has been opened in Sioux Lookout for those traveling into the community from the Far North for medical care.
The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority says this new facility is the answer to the ongoing issue of client overflow.
According to the agency since the beginning of the year it has been unable to provide accommodations for more than 1200 patients per month.
In addition to this new asset SLFNHA has also opened two new health hubs in Keewaywin and Muskrat Dam First Nations, with another two planned for Webequie and Cat Lake First Nations.
