The new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority will step into her role by the end of June.
SLFNHA’s Board of Directors has named Sonia Isaac-Mann as its new CEO effective June 26, 2023.
“I am very humbled and honoured to join the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) as the new President and CEO,” said Isaac-Mann.
“I look forward to building relationships with the First Nations people of the region and focusing on developing innovative health solutions to meet community members’ needs.”
I practice collaborative leadership, and I am excited to work in partnership with the SLFNHA Board and staff to continue building on an already strong team serving the people of Sioux Lookout region.”
Originally from Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation in Quebec, Sonia previously served as the Vice President of Community Health and Wellness, Programs and Services at the First Nations Health Authority of British Columbia – in charge of over 200 First Nation communities.

Sonia holds a Masters of Science degree in Medical Sciences – Public Health Sciences from the University of Alberta, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bishop’s University.
SLFNHA’s Board of Directors is also taking time to thank outgoing CEO James Morris for his 20-year efforts in the position, as he looks ahead to retirement.
