Who or what should be pictured on future Canadian currency? That question was recently posed by the Cable Public Affairs Channel, or CPAC.
The passing of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 has generated discussion on this issue.
CPAC spoke to several Canadians. Terry Fox was a prominent choice amongst several who were asked.
Other suggestions included choosing an Indigenous icon or other individuals who have broken down barriers or landmarks representing each province.
One Canadian suggested leaning on the side of tradition, King Charles III should be next on Canadian currency.
Another thought maybe her picture should be on currency. “Why not, right? Wouldn’t that be the ultimate? And I use enough of it.”
