This is National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
A candlelight vigil and walk is being in Dryden tonight (Tuesday).
It takes place at 6:00 pm at the Unifor Hall or old Ukrainian Hall.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
The event is hosted by Unifor Local 324 Women’s Committee and Hoshizaki House.
It was 33 years ago today that 14 women from Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal were gunned down with another ten women and four men were injured in the attack.
The man responsible claimed he was fighting feminism, before he killed himself.
