An Ear Falls man has been arrested as part of a drug trafficking investigation led by the OPP Community Street Crime Unit in Dryden.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Casimir Avenue around 1:10 yesterday afternoon and found the accused was in possession of drugs.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, morphine, cash and items associated with drug trafficking.
OPP say 26 year-old John Polkinghorne faces four charges.
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – other drugs contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA – x2
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 in Canada contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Fail to comply with Probation Order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC
Polkinghorne remains in custody.
