All three local teams in the Superior International Junior Hockey League were highly successful Saturday night.
The Red Lake Miners avenged a disappointing loss the previous night with a convincing 9-1 victory over visiting Kam River.
The offensive outburst came in the second period with five goals after the Miners were down 1-0.
Affiliated player Evan Maslack was once again impressive with a 2 goal and 2 assist performance.
Jacob Lamoureux continued his hot play with 3 goals.
Colton Crysler, Aaron Bertschinger, Mason Mowat, and Colten Hiavay added singles.
Jack Osmond was called upon to make only 21 saves for the win.

In Sioux Lookout, the Bombers scored two goals in the final five minutes of regulation to secure a 4-1 win over Thunder Bay.
Connor Burke, Phil Parker, Tyler Decoff and Aiden Parker provided the scoring for Sioux Lookout.

Meanwhile, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs offence continues to heat up.
After a 9-2 victory Friday, the Ice Dogs followed that performance up with a 7-2 win in Fort Frances.
