An opening weekend split for the Kenora Under-18 Thistles Hockey team.
The Thistles were in Thompson, Manitoba and came out with a 7-2 win in the final game.
They dropped the opener against the Norman Northstars 4-3.
Dryden’s Brandon Gustafson and Reidar Paquette both scored a goal in the series.
Ben Norlock and Gavin Kowalchuck of Red Lake each picked up an assist.
The home opener for Kenora is Saturday, October 1.
