Dryden Fall Fest is bigger and better this year.
A full schedule of events has been set for the October-long festival.
Laina Smith is one of the lead organizers and she was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday to talk about the opening event, Harvest Hay Day on the first.
“It has grown so big that we are closing Van Horne from Wabigoon Drive to Ingall. We’ve got 40 vendors filling out on the street, food vendors, and this year we have live entertainment with Fred Penner.”
Smith says the legendary performer will have two shows, one at 11:30 and the other at 1:30.
Dryden’s Jordan Laine will also perform.
Another highlight of Harvest Hay Day on October 1 is the ‘Treats and Trees Walk with free books being handed out by Domtar.
Everything takes place at the Laura Howe Marsh.
