A productive Wednesday for the Dryden Eagles as well as Beaver Brae and Fort Frances.
The high school football teams took part in a super-scrimmage round robin in Kenora.
The sessions allowed the teams to rehearse for the season opener next Friday at closer to game speed.
Of note for the Eagles were interceptions by Anthony Cordeiro and Jaden Rafter on defence and a tough, 40 yard TD catch and run by Shalom Powell.
All players Grades 9 through 12 saw meaningful reps and acquitted themselves well.
The team now looks ahead to facing the Muskies in Fort Frances in a rematch of last year’s title game.
