A Dryden resident is taking a shot at provincial politics.
Catherine Kiewning has been introduced as the candidate for the Green Party for the upcoming election.
Kiewning is a health educator with the Northwestern Health Unit and Chair of Rainbow Alliance Dryden.
She campaigned for a seat on City Council but came up just short in the 2018 Municipal election.
The riding of Kiiwetinoong also has a candidate in place for the Greens.
Suzette Foster will carry the party banner.
Elsewhere in northwestern Ontario, Eric Arner, an English and music teacher in Atikokan, will run in Thunder Bay-Atikokan.
Tracey McKinnon, who ran for the Green’s in the last federal election, will seek a provincial seat in Thunder Bay-Superior North.
The election is scheduled for June 2.
