Ontario is expanding fourth-dose eligibility of the COVID vaccine.
Starting Thursday, the fourth-dose will be available to those over the age of 60 as well as First Nation, Inuit and Metis individuals and their non-Indigenous household members aged 18 and over.
The government says expanding booster eligibility will provide an extra layer of protection against the Omicron and BA.2 variants.
After all restrictions and safety measures were dropped by the province in March, there’s been a downward trend in people getting vaccinated.
