Environment Canada says total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 centimetres can be expected, with higher amounts possible.
Meteorologist Gerald Cheng says it’s because of a system churning over the Dakotas.
The snow is expected tonight through Thursday morning and motorists can expect reduced visibility.
Temperatures are expected to be near zero which may allow rain to mix in with the snow at times.
This will result in poor driving conditions.
