Provincial Police in Kenora are asking for public assistance in connection with a death investigation north of Sioux Narrows.
Officers responded to a person in distress report on Highway 71 around 10:56 on the morning of February 22.
Upon arrival at the scene EMS located the individual, who was later pronounced deceased.
The individual has been identified as 26 year old Jesse Nagam of Winnipeg.
The cause of death has not been determined and a post-mortem is scheduled for today in Toronto.
Police stress there is no threat to public safety.
The cause of death remains under investigation.
