Anyone with a business idea or concept has a chance to pitch it.
The NWO Pitch-It contest is now seeking applications.
Allyson Pele from the Northwest Business Center says it’s open to residents in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts.
“This is similar to a Dragon’s Den-type style of event, so we got some really great prize money, really great partnerships around the area coming on board,” Pele explains.
“It will be a virtual event being broadcast in late March.”
Pele adds that February 28th is the deadline to enter.
“We’ll be pushing out to get applications in, and I really think we’ll have a successful event with lots of great businesses applying and pitching their business ideas.”
The first prize is $5,000 and an $800 dollar BDO voucher.
The second prize is $2,000 and the third place is for $1,000.
