Several local communities are still on track to switch over to a new recycling program.
The blue box program will turn into a producer-run system starting next year.
Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks, David Piccini says talks still continue.
“I’ve been working closely with producers, with RPRA (Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority), the agency responsible, and the producer-responsible organizations that have come forward. We’re having very productive dialogue.”
Dryden is among the northwestern Ontario communities to benefit from the new program starting in July of next year.
