A year into the Dryden Regional Health Centre Foundation’s 50/50 draw and a major milestone has been reached.
One million dollars has been raised for local healthcare, with another million awarded to lucky winners near and far.
The lottery reached the million dollar mark on New Year’s Eve when Kenora resident Lynn Carlson took home $123,635.
Leadership with the DRHC are saying thanks a ‘million’ to everyone who’s supported keeping care close to home by purchasing a ticket.
“We could not have imagined a better response for such an important cause,” said DRHC Foundation Co-Chair Brad Coles.
“This is a real game-changer. We appreciate the support for our lottery from our amazing community members and from those farther away, who continue to purchase tickets and support health care in Dryden,” added Foundation Co-Chair Bonny Skene.
President and CEO of DRHC Doreen Armstrong-Ross echoes those sentiments, “The funds raised through this ongoing venture will go 100% towards the purchase of vital equipment including a digital X-Ray Machine, new Anesthesia machines and so much more. This is an exciting and important achievement; I sincerely want to thank each and every person that supports our lottery”.
Tickets for the January draw are on sale now online.
