School buses are not running right now because classes are all being done virtually, but that’s not stopping the Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium from recruiting.
The agency says bus drivers are needed in almost all their locales, including Dryden, Ear Falls, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Kenora and Sioux Narrows.
In the fall and early winter, school buses had to be cancelled several times or there were numerous delays because of the shortage.
The Consortium says bus operators offer paid training and licensing, competitive wages and signing bonuses.
