The Northwest Business Centre has introduced a new program called Starter Company Plus: Indigenous Stream.
The initiative is for aboriginal people looking to start, expand or buy a small business.
Allyson Pele says there are ten, $5,000 grants available for the Kenora and Rainy River Districts.
Pele says the program is for any Indigenous entrepreneur over the age of 18.
“Be working through different tasks in order to work through problem solving their business idea and making sure that it is going to be valid. So this is a great opportunity if someone just even has really a vague idea to get started and developing their full idea to start their business or expand.”
The deadline to apply is January 13 and you can do so by visiting Northwest Business Centre
