The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 37 new cases of COVID-19 today. (Thursday)
The Sioux Lookout district and the Kenora both recorded 13.
There were four new positives in the Fort Frances region and three in the Dryden Health Hub.
Two each were reported in Red Lake and Atikokan.
There are now 439 active cases but local officials stress that number is an underestimation as PCR testing has been downscaled.
The Health Unit says five people remain hospitalized as a result of the virus.
Officials in Thunder Bay recorded 62 new positives with 193 active cases.
Ontario reported 13,339 cases with 2,279 hospitalizations (up by 198 from Wednesday).
There are 319 people in ICU’s (up by 31 from Wednesday)
