Gary Frederick Kereliuk
March 2, 1967 – January 2, 2022
Gary was born in Fort Frances, Ontario to Alex and Cathy Kereliuk. His family soon relocated to Dryden where he attended elementary and junior high and graduated from Dryden High.
He worked at the MTO and decided to change paths and become a car salesman, where he picked up the nickname “Honest Gar” and won many awards. During this time with his brother Shawn, they opened Arroma Pizza, which he was very proud of.
Gary started having health issues which had him in and out of hospitals but he still kept a very positive attitude. His favourite pastime, as everyone knew, was fishing or shooting the shit with the boys at the P.I. Gary always took the time to stop and chit chat with whomever he came upon and always and a smile on his face. As a friend said, Gary’s favourite song was “Take it to the limit” by The Eagles and that he did.
Gary is survived by his step-dad Greg Wagar, Brother Shawn (Terri), nephews Jonathon (Candace), Matthew (Mehgan) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Gary is also survived by many friends he considered family. Gary was predeceased by his parents Alex and Cathy Kereliuk and Uncle Reino Huitka.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dryden Hospital online or through Stevens Funeral Homes, PO Box 412, Dryden, Ontario P8N 2Z1.
