An Extreme Cold Warning has been issued for most of northwestern Ontario for today (Tuesday) and early tomorrow morning.
Minimum temperatures will be between minus 26 and minus 32 degrees but it will feel like minus 40 and 45 with the wind chill.
You are asked to watch for cold related symptoms including shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
Officials warn that frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin.
