You can relax after the holidays and let the Dryden Rotary Club do the heavy lifting.
Rotarian Roger Gould was a guest on the CKDR morning show to talk about Rotary’s Christmas Tree Pick Up Saturday January 8.
“We’re going to be heading out in the Dryden area from 9am to 11am so if you do have a Christmas tree you’d like us to pick up, please leave it out on the boulevard or curb and we will be by to grab it. If you do wish to leave a donation for us, we’ll be leaving a card in your mailbox and you can send anything in, otherwise it’s a community service on behalf of the Dryden Rotary Club.”
Any donations raised support a variety of programs in 2022 like rotary youth exchange, high school bursaries, contributions to area food bank, shelters, hospitals and more.
“We actually partnered up this year, it was a very pleasant surprise, Norm Balla from B&M delivery service is actually allowing us to drop of the trees at their compound and they will put them into one of their bins, take them to the lay down area for us where they will be put back into recycling to be used for compost.”
To ensure your tree doesn’t get missed, you’re asked to call or text 216-6950 or email trevor.szmon@hotmail.com and leave your name, address and phone number.
