The Red Lake Miners spoiled the Dryden GM Ice Dogs Christmas party Wednesday night.
Jordan Baranesky found the back of the net 7:16 into the third period for their first lead of the game en route to a 3-2 win.
The Miners victory snapped Dryden GM’s 10 game win streak and propelled them one point ahead for second place in the SIJHL standings.
Cameron Ware opened the scoring for the Ice Dogs and set-up Tristan Takats on beautiful goal in the second to make it a 2-1 game.
However, Ryan Hunter would tie things up 16 seconds after the Takats goal.
Nic Bolin also scored for Red Lake.
Kiev Kineshanko was the difference in net making 34 saves for the victory.
Eric Clark was also solid but suffered the loss.
Both teams are now off until January 7.
