Provincial Police are assisting with a sudden death investigation in the City of Dryden.
On Monday, December 13 Dryden Police responded to a home on Van Horne Avenue where a person was in medical distress.
When officers arrived, an unconscious subject was being attended to by members of the Dryden Fire Service.
Despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased.
Police say the victim has been identified as 34 year old Vanessa Wesley of New Saugeen First Nation.
A post-mortem is scheduled for today, December 15, to determine the cause of death.
There are no concerns for public safety at this time.
