Provincial Police continue to actively recruit for new members in northwestern Ontario.
A public information session is being held today (Wednesday) at 5 o’clock at the Red Lake Detachment (115 Howey Street).
A second session is slated for December 8 in Kenora. (1125 Highway 17)
Officials say they are looking for uniform officers, special constables, and auxiliary members.
The need is high across the region, but specifically in Dryden with the upcoming transition in policing to OPP.
Minimum qualifications include:
-Minimum 18 years of age
-Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
-Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or it’s equivalent
-Class “G” drivers license with full driving privilege’s and no more than 6 demerit points
-No criminal record in which a pardon has not been received
-Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C)
-Physically fit
-Willing to serve
