Health Minister Christine Elliott says Ontario is receiving more than 400,000 Pfizer doses today. (Monday)
She says that will be shortly followed by more than 600,000.
Elliott adds, “It’s going to be distributed at a certain rate based on, some goes to public health units, some goes to primary care, some will go to pharmacies of course. Pharmacies are going to continue to be great partners with us.”
She is encouraging all families to book an appointment.
“Unfortunately we know right now that a third of the new cases of COVID are in school-aged children. So, I think that speaks to the need to get children vaccinated as being as important as adults being vaccinated.”
Elliott reiterates there will be an eight week interval between first and second shot.
