Dryden City Council is hosting an Engagement Session about the proposed deep geological repository for nuclear waste in the Ignace-Wabigoon Lake area.
Area residents are being asked for their input leading up to the session on Tuesday, December 7 at 6pm.
There will be representatives of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, Dryden Sunset Country Spirit Alliance, Northwatch and Environment North.
You can submit questions and comments regarding the following subjects:
- Safety
- Transportation
- Site Selection Process
- Indigenous Relations
- Environmental Stewardship
- Borehole Drilling
Questions and comments must be submitted by 4:30pm on Tuesday, November 23 and can be emailed to: meeting@dryden.ca or delivered in person to the City of Dryden’s Acting City Clerk at the Administration Department at City Hall, 30 Van Horne Avenue.
The meeting will be live streamed on the City of Dryden meeting calendar at: Calendar – City of Dryden by selecting Video on the date of the meeting.
If you can’t watch in real time, the video will also be available for viewing after the meeting.
