Almost 90% of staff with the Northwest Catholic District School Board are fully vaccinated.
Director of Education Brendan Hyatt says there are still 19 employees that have yet complied with the requirement to enter facilities.
Hyatt says if those staff aren’t taking rapid antigen testing, they aren’t allowed in schools and are deemed inactive.
He notes they also anticipate school board trustees meeting face-to-face in December for the first time in over 18 months.
Meetings since have been held virtually.
Hyatt says approval from the Ministry of Education came recently.
Finalized plans are being worked out with the province and Northwestern Health Unit on some of the protocols.
