Looking for a scare? Look no further!
Dryden Fall Fest continues Saturday (October 16) with the Laura Howe Haunt.
Organizer Laina Smith was a guest on the CKDR morning show and says the haunt was very successful in 2020 and suggests you get there early.
“All your childhood nightmares are roaming the marsh, it is 13 plus and if you’re brave enough come down October 16 to the Government Dock entrance of Laura Howe Marsh. The haunt is running an extra 30 minutes this year from 6:30-9pm.”
Smith stresses this haunted trail experience is not for the easily frightened and you will need to bring a flashlight when you venture deep into the woods.
“We have the Hand Radio Club, as well as Dryden Ski Patrol on site in case you get too close to one of the marsh monsters and if you do emerge from the woods unscathed, we’ll have a little piece of swag waiting for you at the exit!”
The walk begins at the trail entrance by Government Dock parking lot and your journey will end at the exit to Van Horne Avenue, where you can run back to the safety of your vehicle.
Fall Fest ends on Halloween with Trunk or Treat 4-7pm and candy donations are being accepted now at the Dryden Public Library.
Local businesses are also welcome to take part by emailing laurahowehaunt@gmail.com.
