A huge spike in COVID numbers in our region.
The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting 17 new cases since Friday.
Once again the Rainy River area is the hot spot with 12 positives.
The Kenora region has 5 reported cases.
The active case count is at 19. (Rainy River: 12, Kenora: 6, Sioux Lookout: 1)
That’s a lot higher than the Thunder Bay district with only 4 actives.
Health officials are reporting one new case today.
Ontario recorded 511 cases and 2 COVID-related deaths.
