Its been a gardener’s dream this fall.
So far the thermometer hasn’t dipped below zero in the Dryden area.
Senior Climatologist with Environment Canada David Phillips says that’s very unusual.
“I look back at the records over 80 years, I think you’ve always had frost by October 1” says Phillips.
“Well, I look at the next three, four, or five days and I don’t see any chance of frost, nothing close to the 1 degree.”
Phillips adds it’s really a continuation of the past couple of months.
“It’s all been about what a summer it was. You know June, July, August, I think it came out in 80 years to be the second warmest summer on record.”
The overnight low doesn’t drop below 10 degrees for the next six days at least.
