The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is preparing for Ontario’s proof of vaccination requirements on September 22.
Chief Administrative Officer Michelle Larose admits there’s been a lot of confusion, especially for users of the Rec. Centre.
Anyone over the age of 18 must prove they are double vaccinated to enter the arena or gym.
This includes youth using a gym or other areas with exercise equipment or weights, youth spectating at sporting events, and adults accessing the facilities for any purpose.
This includes parents or guardians of youth taking part in organized sports.
Anyone under the age of 18 who is actively participating in an organized sport doesn’t need to provide proof.
This includes training, practices, games, competitions, sports leagues, pick-up sports, dance classes and martial arts.
