The NDP says the province needs legislation to ban protests outside of hospitals.
In recent weeks, a number of anti-vaxx protests have been taking place at the entrance of health care facilities across the country.
Leader Andrea Horwath says that behavior is dangerous.
“It is unacceptable that folks who have done everything that they have been asked to do,” states Horwath.
“And who is it who is being harassed. It’s everybody from hard-working frontline health care workers, who have sacrificed so much to help get us through COVID-19…it’s patients…family members”.
Horwath says the premier has to take action now.
“What he needs to do is come out of hiding and address this harassment…this intimidation, which nobody should have to face here in our province. Nobody who is doing the right thing should have to face this kind of harassment.”
