The leader of the federal Conservatives says his party will secure the future for the Kenora riding and all of northern Ontario.
Erin O’Toole says his recovery plan will create jobs in every sector across northwest communities, including in forestry, mining, tourism and recreation.
“Our plan will restore accountability and trust in government. We will address the mental health epidemic. We will ensure that we’re ready for the next health crisis and we will get Canada’s fiscal house in order.”
He made the comments in a Twitter feed supporting local candidate and incumbent Eric Melillo.
“I’ve worked closely with Eric in Ottawa. I know him to be a passionate advocate for northern Ontario. He stands up for critical infrastructure projects, rural broadband, clean drinking water for First Nations and better economic opportunities for everyone, whether you live in Dryden or in the fall reaches of the province.”
